FTEM is the shared framework of Swiss Olympic and Swiss-Ski for long-term athlete and sport development in snow sports. It describes the entire journey – from the first contact with snow to the world class – in four key phases and ten development stages (F1–M).
Building the foundation: acquiring, applying and consolidating versatile movement and snow-sport basics.
Showing and developing potential: talents confirm themselves, train purposefully and achieve the breakthrough.
Representing Switzerland internationally: World Cup, World Championships and Olympic Games at elite level.
Shaping the world class: sustained success at the highest level over years.
